An ATC Trio...

Boo!

Hey everyone!

This is our third challenge at Wicked Wednesday.  Our theme this week is an ATC trio.  It can be anything you want, just as long as it has a common theme.  It's just like in fashion design, we are are looking for a cohesive look :)

So for my ATC trio, I chose to continue with a Halloween theme and display my love for pumpkins.  All are created with ink and pencil and embellished with paper flowers.

These bright colors are a complete contrast to what's happening outside: it's bitterly cold and sleeting.  Stay warm, drive safe!

The alphabet soup collection

Hey everyone!

Look what just came in the mail!  It's my self published minibook featuring the Happy Bunny Alphabet Soup collection.  In the coming weeks, you will see each mini piece of art posted from A to Z.  This little morsel will be available at my Etsy Shop once I have it up and running.
I also plan to have them available as giclee prints on a per request basis.  I'm working on getting price quotes.

This personal project would not have been possible without the love and support of my awesome friends.

Sweet Sunday Morsel: For the love of pumpkins!

Another reason why I love autumn: pumpkins.  I love picking them, carving them and eating them too!  My best friend, Carolyn, makes THE world's BEST pumpkin bread.  Seriously.

Alphabet Soup: A

Apples are my favorite fruit to eat and draw!  Life's been crazy lately so I find myself working with Sumo Paint a lot.  It saves me from having to clean my brushes, paints and paint mediums.  Hopefully things will calm down soon so I can return to my usual organic creating process.  Until then, stay well!

Hey, a commission!

Hey there!  I've been busy working on a commission for a very good friend of mine.  She's practically a sister to me.  She wanted something whimsical with a sports theme for her baby boy's room.  Here's the initial sketch: (no worries, she's already received the piece...)

Happy Sweetest Day!

I first learned of this holiday when I went to school up in Buffalo.  It's always the third Saturday of October and is primarily observed in the Finger Lakes region.  It offers the opportunity to celebrate loved ones, friendship and acts of kindness.  Kinda sounds like Valentine's Day, doesn't it?

However, I do not feel that I need a special day to celebrate love and friendship.  I do that every day.  I am very grateful for the wonderful people in my life.  In any case, happy sweetest day to all!

Strolling in NYC

So, Uncle Sam gave me the day off from work on Monday in honor of Columbus Day. I had to spend my Sunday working, sheesh.  Anway, what's a girl to do on such a nice, sunny day?  I took the train into NYC and decided to stroll around the WTC memorial site.  Unbeknownst to me, you needed passes to get into the memorial.  So, I enjoyed a stroll in a nearby park instead.  I decided to try my hand at some photography.  I was inspired by a fellow blogger, Sam Rosenthal.  His photos are just fantastic.  Here are some of mine. It's getting chilly...

Hi there!

You know it's fall when Dunkin Donuts puts Pumpkin donuts and Pumpkin lattes back on the menu.  I absolutely adore the warm scents of cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom infused with vanilla.  It's quite relaxing.

Evergreen Farms

Hi there!
There was no sweet sunday morsel this weekend because I was out enjoying nature.  I went to Evergreen Farms in NJ.  It was asian pear picking time.  I ate a few right off the tree.  So sweet, so juicy!  Then I hopped on over to Philly to swim with some fish....
