Sweet Sunday Morsel: For the love of pumpkins!

Another reason why I love autumn: pumpkins.  I love picking them, carving them and eating them too!  My best friend, Carolyn, makes THE world's BEST pumpkin bread.  Seriously.

Peace and love,
Mary xoxo

P.S. Jenn, this one's for you :)

French food on the go...

A speeding snail?
Wow, here's a creature of contradictions for you.  I was totally having fun with my Sharpies collection.  I was in a very silly mood.  The lettering in this doodle is somewhat off because.....
I did this whole piece with my left hand.  Yes.  It took a while, but I found that I can also doodle with my left hand.
However, I think I'll stick with my right hand for now...it's more time efficient.

Live a colorful, creative life!

French Cuisine

c'est magnifique!

Just doodling away here at Barnes and Noble while enjoying my soy latte.   Here's a twist on a classic french dish.  Enjoy!

Have a great weekend

Sweet Sunday Morsel

Peekaboo!!!

Feeling a bit mischievous today....actually, that's how I am everyday.
This piece was inspired by my Craft & Barrel oversized coffee mug.  I got it a while back while spending the day with Carol.  I have a thing for oversized mugs.  Not only do they hold more coffee (me likes), it puts a funny twist on such a mundane activity as drinking coffee.
Well, Happy Bunny made herself a home in this one.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  I'm going to brew some fresh coffee and start my next art adventure!
Peace and love

Sweet Sunday Morsel

I've been watching too much NatGeo and Discovery Channel.  You combine that with a silly mood and this is the end result.
I'm continuing to work outside my comfort zone.  I bought a set of gouache (pronounced gwash).  They are a more vibrant, opaque form of watercolor.  I'm going to have to continue experimenting and see what happens.

Sweet Sunday Morsel

Juicy Pear Jelly Bean Tree

I just absolutely L-O-V-E Sundays (when I'm not working, that is).  It's the day when all the stress of the previous week is cleared and I look forward to starting the new week.  Just give me some good coffee and I am content with my art.

This is a detailed look at the Juicy Pear Jelly Bean tree from Jelly Bean fields.  We're going to visit that wonderful place next week, so stay tuned!

Be happy, be well.

Sweet Sunday Morsel

I love everything about summer!  I love the smell of sunblock, how the sun feels on my skin, and most of all, the rush of wind in my face as I roll on by in my blades.
Although there are always ups and downs, I'm blessed to be doing what I do.  I love my job.  Everyday is another opportunity to help someone.  I'm also grateful that I can pursue art and music and get to share.
Life IS sweet! Peace and love.
Namaste,
Mary xoxo

Sweet Sunday Morsel!

Wow, is it already Sunday?!  Time really flies.

Lemon chiffon cake
I absolutely adore bright colors and PLAID!  I don't necessarily wear it, but I love drawing it.  This is another little piece from the original bakery piece, which will be posted at a later date.  Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

Your first Sweet Sunday Morsel....

Digital image Paint and Piknik
Creativity ebbs and flows.  Even my muse needs a day off now and again.  So, when my muse is off for the day, instead of working on a piece, I doodle. A LOT.  Here's another one from the bakery:
